From July 1 through July 4, all things geek will be taking over Miami for Florida Supercon 2016 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The convention center will be open with various rooms for vendors and panels all four days. Become a Disney Diva and sing along to Disney songs on Friday or Monday, or attend a panel about cosfit and body positivity in cosplay.
There will also be group discussions such as Your Voice and Experiences Matter, which opens up topics such as depression, disabilities, the struggles of coming out as LGBT and more.
Nighttime panels are sure to make things interesting. Attend an 18-and-up drag show depicting characters from the anime Black Butler on Friday. Or you can attend the late night dance and rave to have a blast.
For those that want to experiment in dressing up as a different gender, there will be a gender bender makeup tutorial on Saturday -- whether you want to look more masculine or feminine.
Don't let the fact it's a Sunday fool you; that day is also packed with interesting events throughout the day. Join the adult-only kink panel, a safe and fun discussion on kinks, fetishes, and more. Or, step over to the sci-fi world to talk about gender and sexuality in science fiction.
There will be celebrity guests to meet and greet as well, including Morena Baccarin, known for her role in Firefly as bisexual escort Inara Serra.
Four day full weekend passes are sold out, but single day passes are available before June 30 are $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, $35 for Sunday, and $25 for Monday. At the show, all prices go up by $5.
Children age 4 to 6 have single day tickets available for $5 on Friday, $10 on Saturday, and $5 on Monday. Children under 3 years old get in free with a paid parent or guardian.
