Local Bartender Chance Taffer Dies at 47

Mr. Christopher “Chance” Taffer, age 47, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida died Monday, January 23, 2017 with his family by his side. Chance was born on June 10, 1969. Everyone who knew Chance knew he was always smiling and could be seen around town, especially at Ramrod where he worked for years.

He also worked some for Norm Kent, Owner and Publisher of SFGN, and was always seen with a camera in his hands. He was an avid artist and photographer. He leaves to share and cherish his memory his parents, Sara Jo (Bob) Shettles and Cecil (Candy) Taffer; half siblings, Reed Taffer and Allison Taffer; step brother, Kevin Shettles; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews also survive.

He will be missed by all those knew him. His family invites the community to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Pride Center at Equality Park in the Chapel.

They will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 and a celebration service will begin at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at Kalis-McIntee Funeral Home, Wilton Manors 954-566-7621.
