Beautiful Boo Boo (ID 602984) would love to have a new family for 2019! This five-year-old gal was abandoned at a vet office after her family no longer wanted her. She spent some time with a foster family over the holidays and they only had wonderful things to say about her.
Boo Boo enjoys playing with toys, especially things that have strings, gets along with other felines and will even let you put a harness on her and take her for a walk. Boo Boo’s foster family has sponsored her adoption fee, so she just needs a family to call her own.
Five-year-old Duke (ID 606963) is also looking for a family to love. Sadly after having a home his entire life, his owner found himself homeless and was living in his car with Duke. He wanted a better life for Duke and made the difficult decision to give him up. This fellow is described as a big lap dog at 87 pounds. He is a strong fellow and could use some leash work so he learns not to pull. Duke gets along with big dogs and cats, and enjoys the theme song from Game of Thrones. Oh and be sure to have lots of treats on hand, Duke loves them!
The adoption fee for dogs over 6 months is $100, puppies are $250, felines over 6 months are $30 and kittens are $60. When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County the dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, cats are feline leukemia tested, and dogs over 7 months are tested for heartworm. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 14-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. The HSBC opens daily at 10:30 and is located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. To see who else is looking for a home visit www.humanebroward.com
