If you could enjoy a great meal at a restaurant you love and help save a life at the same time, you’d do it, right?
Compass Community Center is introducing Dining Out For Life (DOFL) to Palm Beach County this year, so you can do just that on April 30.
DOFL has conducted its events in more than 50 cities around the world and has raised over $4 million for HIV services each year. This is Compass’ first year participating in the event, which creates an easy way for people to make a positive impact for those living in their own community who are impacted by HIV/AIDS. Especially since South Florida continues to have the highest rate of new HIV diagnoses in the country.
Compass joins hundreds of other organizations across the nation that have partnered with Dining Out For Life to make an impact in their local communities. DOFL events make it simple to help. All you have to do is dine at a participating restaurant like you always do, and that’s it; the restaurants donate to Compass at the end of the day.
“You can make a meal meaningful by dining out for life,” said Julie Seaver of Compass. “We are so grateful for our restaurants stepping up and donating generously to make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV.”
This year, participating restaurants include Don Ramon Restaurante Cubano & Social Club, Kapow Noodles and Cocktails (Clematis St), DADA in Delray Beach, Hullabaloo WPB, Howley’s WPB and Java Juice Bar and Café @Studio 205 in Lake Worth.
“We’re encouraging caring community members to eat at participating restaurants in Palm Beach County on April 30th,” explains Julia Murphy, Compass’ Chief Development Officer. “You don’t need a flyer or a coupon. Choose a participating restaurant, invite your friends and enjoy your favorite meal knowing you are making an impact in your own community.”
