(EDGE) Rapper Lil Wayne said he officiated a same-sex wedding between two fellow male inmates while he was serving a prison sentence in 2010 at Rikers Island in New York.
The story comes from his upcoming prison memoir "Gone 'Til November," which comes out Oct. 11. The book is based on the musician's diary entries while in prison six years ago.
In his story about the same-sex wedding, Wayne wrote he and other inmates decorated the halls with toilet paper and celebrated with Gatorade both Page Six and Pitchfork report.
Wayne called the sports drink "liquid gold in this bitch," describing the event as, "Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations...AND one of them is Lil Wayne...Crazy."
Also in "Gone 'Til November," Wayne writes he used to watch "American Idol" to pass time but refused to watch "The Wendy Williams Show."
The rapper was serving an eight-month stint at Rikers for gun charges.
