(EDGE) Two titans of pop took the time over the Thanksgiving weekend to visit the Ali Forney Center, an LGBT youth homeless shelter in New York City.

As New Now Next points out both Madonna and Lady Gaga visited the shelter - but not at the same time.

The Material Girl stopped by Ali Forney on Thanksgiving Day with her kids David and Mercy. Madonna later took to Instagram and shared a photo with herself and the children.

"This center protects LGBT youth from the harms of homelessness and empowers them to reclaim their lives," she captioned the pic. "AFC provides these youth with tools they need to become independent-and more importantly, provides these youth with the love and support they are denied by their families. Because everyone deserves to be loved and everyone deserves a home."

Lady Gaga popped by the shelter Friday. Taking to Instagram, Mother Monster shared a photo of herself leading a group meditation.

"I'm here because I want this to affect other people around the world and to remind them that when they are kind, it not only makes the other person feel good, but it makes me feel good, too," Gaga said, according to New Now Next.

Check out a video of Gaga at AFC below.
