Three years after coming out in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, former Glee Actor Jake Zyrus has revealed his true identity.
He took to Twitter to announce his name and thank fans for the support.
“My first tweet as Jake. Overwhelmed. Saw all your love comments and I’m so happy. Finally. I love you, everyone and see you soon,” he wrote, adding in a later tweet: “I won’t let anyone ruin this moment. I won’t let anyone ruin my happiness. Thank you to all the beautiful write ups about me.”

He first came out during one of Oprah’s ‘where are they now’ specials, revealing that his soul was male. “I knew when I was five,” he said at the time. “I was in grade school and I saw this girl and I felt different… I didn’t know what it was, but I just knew at that time, it felt special.”
He added: “I’m not exactly transitioning to a male, but basically my soul is male. I’m not going to change my body, I’ll cut my hair and wear boys clothes, but that all.”
He played Sunshine Corazon while on Glee, playing the role of a foreign exchange student. He also appeared in The X-Factor Philippines as a judge back in 2012.
